QUETTA: Baluchistan food authority has launched a major raid on the manufacturing unit of renowned spices company.
A major haul of unhealthy and inferior spices packs of a popular brand was taken into the custody.
The intelligence based-raid was launched on the two whole sales traders located on the New Ada and Satellite town areas.
Thousands of Packets were captured during the operation.
According to the director operations Mohammad Riaz Nasir, the tempered spices were being illegally supplied from the other provinces to the small cities of Balochistan.
The spices were packed, labelled and branded in such a tactical way that it was difficult for a common consumer to identify that weather the spices are real or fake.
Both the traders were sealed immediately on account of violating laws and putting the consumers’ health in danger.
The further proceedings have been initiated to access the central suppliers and the main distributers of the spices’ brand.
The DG Balochistan food authority has stressed that the elements selling poor-quality edibles can not be allowed to run businesses.

He further said that the credible operations will be continued to provide the people of Balochistan with quality food items.
