CHAMAN: The polio vaccination team came under a cowardly terrorist attack in Chaman district of Balochistan, resulting in the martyrdom of one polio worker.
In this sense, security forces responded quickly, killing two terrorists belonging to the banned outfit, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The polio team was performing its national health duty in Chaman when terrorists opened indiscriminate fire.
The incident has once again mentioned the continued attempts by hostile elements to sabotage Pakistan’s polio eradication campaign. So far, the district administration stated that despite such threats, polio teams remain committed to their mission of protecting children from the crippling disease.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry and provincial authorities strongly condemned the attack, paying tribute to the martyred health worker for his sacrifice in the service of humanity.
