MIRANSHAH: The policeman was martyred and another critically injured when armed terrorists opened fire on a police checkpoint in Mir Ali tehsil.
In this sense, the police officials confirmed that Constable Nizamullah got martyrdom in the attack, where Constable Inam sustained life-threatening injuries. In response, three of the attackers were killed on the spot.
In this regard, the assailants used automatic weapons and launched indiscriminate fire. The policemen on duty responded swiftly, preventing greater damage and neutralizing the attackers. Furthermore, security forces and police contingents reached the site, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation to trace possible accomplices of the attackers.
In addition, funeral prayers for Constable Nizamullah were later offered at Governor Cottage, Miranshah.
The ceremony was attended by GOC 7 Division Major General Adil Iftikhar, senior civil and police officials, and a large number of residents.

So far, Nizamullah’s family expressed pride in his sacrifice. “Our son gave his life for the country. We are proud of his martyrdom, but we urge the government to look after the families of martyrs,” they said.
