Police officer among three injured in grenade attack in Quetta

QUETTA: Three people, including a Station House Officer (SHO), were injured in a grenade attack near Mashriqi Bypass Quetta on Monday.

As per details, a hand grenade attack on police occurred near Bakra Mandi on Eastern (Mashriqi) Bypass.  As a result, three, including SHO Manzoor Shaheed Police Station, were injured in the explosion, said police.

The injured people were rushed to the hospital for treatment.  Security forces and law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and started a search operation to chase the terrorists involved in the attack.

Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, has a history of attacks on police by terrorists of Finta al Hindustan involved in terrorism and attacks on the public and security forces.

The spokesperson of Balochistan’s government Shahid Rand, strongly condemned the attack and said that enemies of peace want to disrupt the environment in Balochistan. The elements involved in the attack will be brought to justice.

Shahid Rand said that the incident is being investigated, and every aspect is being thoroughly examined. The sacrifices of the people and forces in Balochistan will not go in vain.
