QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has issued strict instructions to end extortion (bhatta) at police checkposts across the province.
Following complaints of extortion at a police checkpost, two policemen have been suspended in Khuzdar.
SSP Khuzdar suspended the two officials, Nasrullah and Hameedullah, deployed at the checkpost and ordered an inquiry into the matter.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Home Department, Babar Yousafzai, stated that strict action will be taken to ensure full implementation of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s directives against police extortion.
