ISLAMABAD: Cold and dry weather will grip most of the country on Tuesday as temperatures fall further. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) warned that hilly regions will face severe cold in the morning and at night.
PMD said most areas will see stable weather. Upper regions may get partly cloudy skies by evening. Plains in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will face smog and patches of fog during early and late hours.
In Islamabad, residents will see a cold and dry day. Skies may turn partly cloudy at night.
Punjab will stay cold and dry. Murree, Galiyat and nearby hill stations will face harsh nighttime temperatures. Fog will thicken in Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Jhelum, Sahiwal, Multan, Khanewal, Layyah and Kot Addu. Visibility may drop during morning and evening travel.
Sindh will remain mostly dry. The air will feel colder in the morning and at night.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will stay cold and dry across all districts. Temperatures will drop sharply in the hilly belt. Upper areas may see clouds by evening. Light smog or fog may form in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera and DI Khan.
Balochistan will also face cold, dry weather. Northern districts will record very low temperatures overnight.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will remain dry and extremely cold. Morning and nighttime temperatures will stay low. Partly cloudy skies may appear by evening.
