PM Meets the flood -affected position holder Balochistan Student

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Ikramullah, a student from a remote flood-affected area of Balochistan, who recently secured third position in Rawalpindi.

The Prime Minister recalled that during his 2022 visit to Qila Saifullah, he had met Ikramullah in a relief tent, where the young student expressed his desire to pursue higher education.

At that time, Shehbaz Sharif had announced that the government would bear all his educational expenses. The Prime Minister expressed happiness that Ikramullah is now working diligently toward his goals.

Ikramullah mentioned that during their last meeting, he had promised the Prime Minister he would achieve a top position — a promise he has now fulfilled.

Shehbaz Sharif fondly remembered that in their first meeting, Ikramullah was wearing a black shalwar kameez, the day was sunny, and he had told the Prime Minister that there were no schools in his area, forcing children to travel far for education, yet he was deeply passionate about learning.

The Prime Minister said he later brought Ikramullah to Lawrence College, and upon hearing of his recent achievement, he felt immense pride.

He credited Ikramullah’s success to the prayers of his teachers and parents, along with the student’s own hard work, and thanked Allah for this blessing.

Expressing his gratitude, Ikramullah said that while politicians often do things with political motives, the Prime Minister’s support for him went beyond politics.

He said Shehbaz Sharif gave a child from an underdeveloped area the opportunity to study at Lawrence College, and his success was owed to that support.

In response to the Prime Minister’s query, Ikramullah shared that he also participates in sports and speech competitions.
