ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will leave on a three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia next week, for strengthening Pakistan’s strategic, economic, and diplomatic ties with the Kingdom.
In this regard, the prime minister will be accompanied by senior members of his federal cabinet as well as top military officials.
The visit indicates Islamabad’s commitment to increasing its long-standing partnership with Riyadh, covering a wide range of areas including trade, investment, and regional security.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to address the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh, a high-profile global forum that attracts international business leaders, investors, and policymakers.
In addition, his address is expected to highlight Pakistan’s economic potential, reform agenda, and opportunities for foreign investment.
The government officials said the prime minister’s participation in the FII will help project Pakistan as an attractive destination for global investors.
In addition, Prime Minister Sharif is expected to hold meetings with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other senior Saudi officials.
These discussions will focus on bilateral cooperation, regional peace and stability, and joint efforts to expand economic collaboration.
The visit comes at a time when Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are seeking to deepen their economic relations.
