BEIJING – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a business-to-business conference B2B in China, praised the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and declared that the project has nearly resolved Pakistan’s power crisis. During B2B conference, both nations signed 21 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth $4.2 billion across various sectors, including petrochemicals, solar energy, agriculture, and electric vehicles.
PM Shehbaz expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and its President for their shared vision of progress and development. He informed a gathering of Chinese company executives and business leaders that his government is actively working to remove bureaucratic obstacles for Chinese investors and entrepreneurs. He assured them that any issues would be resolved within 24 hours.
In a show of bilateral solidarity, the prime minister described the relationship between the two nations as “highest from the Himalayas and deepest from the oceans, and sweetest than honey.” This visit is part of ongoing efforts to further strengthen the “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership” between Pakistan and China.
The prime minister’s trip, which ran from August 30 to September 4, included attending the SCO summit in Tianjin and a military parade in Beijing to commemorate the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.
