Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the complete eradication terrorism from Pakistan is the only true justice for the victims of the Army Public School (APS) tragedy, as the nation marked the 11th anniversary of the devastating attack in Peshawar. 

In this regard, the prime minister has paid tribute to the martyrs of the APS attack, stating that the entire nation stands united in honoring those who laid down their lives for the future of the country.

He said the sacrifices of the innocent children, teachers, and staff of APS would always remain an integral part of Pakistan’s collective memory.

In this sense, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the tragic incident tested the nation at a critical moment, and the tragedy filled hearts with grief, he added, it failed to break the courage and resolve of the Pakistani people. “The nation emerged from this trial with renewed unity and determination,” he said.

The prime minister focused on the fact that eliminating terrorism from Pakistan’s soil is the real and lasting justice for the APS martyrs. He noted that the country’s fight against extremism and violence is not only a matter of security but also a moral responsibility toward the families who suffered irreparable loss.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Sharif said the entire nation shares their grief and salutes their patience, resilience, and strength in the face of immense tragedy. He confirmed the government’s commitment to standing by the victims’ families and honoring the memory of the martyrs through sustained efforts to ensure peace and stability.

Moreover, the prime minister said that Pakistan is once again confronting the challenge of terrorism, with security personnel and innocent civilians being targeted in various parts of the country.

In this context, he said, the APS tragedy serves as a stark reminder that the struggle against terrorism is not yet over and requires continued vigilance and resolve.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reasserted that the government is firmly committed to a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. He said decisive and comprehensive operations would continue with full force until the complete elimination of terrorist elements.

“We will not rest until the last terrorist is defeated and lasting peace is restored,” he added.

Concluding his message, the prime minister offered prayers for the martyrs of the APS tragedy and all those who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism. He prayed that Allah Almighty grant them the highest place in Jannah and bestow patience and strength upon their families.
