ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed Pakistan’s resolve to promote peace, harmony, and inclusivity, saying there is no room for hatred or terrorism in the country.
The prime minister showed warm greetings to the Hindu community and underlined the government’s dedication to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all citizens, regardless of faith.
Furthermore, the prime minister mentioned that members of minority communities hold representation in the National Assembly, Senate, and all provincial assemblies.
He announced that the government would further empower the National Commission for Minorities to strengthen institutional support for their welfare and representation.
Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif also pointed out that special scholarships and development programmes have been introduced to support youth from minority communities. In this regard, the prime minister said that Pakistan stands firm as a nation of peace and tolerance.
“There is no place here for hatred or terrorism,” he focused, adding that unity among all communities is essential for the country’s progress and security.
The prime minister also expressed solidarity with the Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism, asserting that the entire nation supports the armed forces in safeguarding national peace and stability.
The event was attended by parliamentarians, representatives of minority communities, and government officials.
