PM Shehbaz discusses bilateral relations with MBS in Doha

DOHA: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab–Islamic Summit convened in Doha following Israel’s attack on Qatar on September 9, 2025.

In this meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, were also present.

In this regard, the discussions, described as warm and cordial, focused on the regional situation emerging after Israel’s aggression.

In addition, PM Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, terming it a deliberate attempt to undermine peace efforts in the Middle East.

He reasserted Pakistan’s principled stance against unlawful aggression and focused on the fact that the international community must act collectively to prevent further escalation.

The Prime Minister praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s bold and visionary leadership in unifying the Muslim Ummah at a critical juncture.

He assured the Crown Prince of Pakistan’s full diplomatic backing, particularly at the United Nations Security Council, where Pakistan currently serves as a non-permanent member, as well as through active engagement at other multilateral platforms, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Furthermore, the MBS, appreciating Pakistan’s strong diplomatic engagement at the UNSC and OIC, appreciated the PM Shehbaz’s leadership and determination for regional peace.

The meeting concluded with both leaders reasserting their resolve to strengthen Pakistan–Saudi Arabia ties and continue close coordination on issues of shared concern.
