ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to discuss the prevailing security situation and other important matters.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had invited the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the meeting, during which they held detailed discussions on the security situation in the province.
The Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister about his concerns regarding terrorism and related threats.
The meeting also covered issues related to the payment of federal dues/obligations to the province, as well as the possible protests planned for 8 February.
Discussions took place regarding the ongoing operation in Tirah Valley and the displacement/migration of local residents.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also present during the meeting between the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
