PM declares malicious propaganda against forces Intolerable

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned malicious propaganda against the Pakistan Armed Forces, terming it intolerable.

Speaking during a federal cabinet meeting, he said that certain elements are targeting state institutions on social media.

“Those who indulge in such mockery must be identified and dealt with sternly,” he asserted.

The prime minister stressed that terrorists and those spreading discord must be exposed, vowing to free Pakistan from extremist elements once and for all.

Paying tribute to Major Adnan Shaheed, who recently laid down his life for the country, Shehbaz Sharif praised his sacrifice, saying that his father’s courage was commendable and that the nation is proud of its martyrs.

Highlighting his recent visit to China, the premier described it as highly successful, noting that the business conference held there proved extremely productive.

He added that China has emerged as both an economic and military power, while Pakistan is also working day and night to enhance relations with the United States.

He stated that MoUs signed with the US will pave the way for new investments.

Shehbaz Sharif also announced the imposition of a climate and agricultural emergency, stating that a comprehensive assessment of flood damages would be completed within a week.

He directed the federal and provincial governments to play their roles, warning that delays in development projects would not be tolerated.

He noted that the devastating floods have already claimed over 1,000 lives and damaged large areas of farmland, with floodwaters now entering Sindh.
