PM Modi gives permission to army to respond to Pahalgam attack

ISLAMABAD: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a big decision of giving permission to his army to respond to the Pahalgam incident, in a high-level meeting held in New Delhi.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting. The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and the chiefs of the armed forces, in which the situation after the Pahalgam incident was discussed.

The foreign news agency reported that the Indian PM Narendra Modi has authorized the Indian army to decide method, time, place and targets of the response.

According to report, Narendra Modi will chair separate meetings of the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs, Economic Affairs and Political Affairs, Wednesday.

On the other hand, in view of the increasing tension between Pakistan and India after the Pahalgam attack, the Indian Army has made changes in the Northern Command. Lieutenant General Sukhendra Kumar has been replaced by Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the Vice Chief of Strategy of the Indian Army, as the new commander of the Northern Command Force.

It is to be mentioned here that after the Pahalgam attach in which 26 tourists were killed, the Indian government and officials are blaming Pakistan for the attack but failed to presents any evidence in this regard. Now the Indian PM Modi has given the permission to the Indian forces to respond to the Pahalgam attack.
