GWADAR: The Ministry of Maritime Affairs has announced the restoration of two additional Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights between Karachi and Gwadar. The initiative has been initiated by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Mohammad Junaid Anwaar Chaudhry, who focused on the importance of improved air access to Gwadar. He stated that expanding air connectivity is essential for the growth of trade and investment in the region.
In this regard, he was mentioning the strategic importance of Gwadar, the minister stressed that better air travel options will support the activation of Gwadar Free Zones and other critical projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The minister further explained that the development in air services would directly benefit the business community, port workforce, and the broader logistics sector. So far, the officials hope the move will encourage increased investor interest in Gwadar, a city poised to become a major trade and transit hub in the region.
