PHE Calls for construction of new dam in Khuzdar

KHUZDAR: The Public Health Engineering has called for the construction of a new dam in Khuzdar.

Water is one of the greatest blessings bestowed by Allah Almighty, and it should never be wasted, even if one is sitting beside a flowing river.

The excessive and careless use of water is considered a major sin, and people have been strictly prohibited from wasting it.

Wasting water is a grave offense, and there is a clear prohibition against its extravagance.

It is essential to protect water from being wasted and to pay attention to leakages in taps and pipes at home, as leaks cause significant water loss precaution must be taken in this regard.

In the current situation, groundwater levels in Khuzdar have dropped thousands of feet, and further wastage must be prevented.

The need of the hour is to make the construction of dams in Khuzdar inevitable.

These views were expressed during an awareness seminar on water conservation organized by the Public Health Engineering Department Khuzdar at the hall of Khuzdar Press Club.

The seminar was attended in large numbers by respected personalities from various segments of society in Khuzdar, including political and social figures, members of the All Parties Urban Action Committee, landowners, and the trading community.

The chief guest of the seminar was Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Abdul Razzaq Sasoli, while the host was Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department Khuzdar, Abdul Rauf Qambrani.

The guests of honor included All Parties Urban Action Committee Chairman Bashir Ahmed Jattak, President Traders Association Hafiz Hameedullah Mengal, and President Khuzdar Press Club Abdullah Shahwani.

Addressing the seminar on the issue of water wastage, Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Abdul Razzaq Sasoli, Engineer Abdul Rauf Qambrani, Advocate Bashir Ahmed Jattak, Abdullah Shahwani, Haji Muhammad Alam Jattak, and other speakers emphasized the importance and utility of water.

They stated that wasting water is a serious sin because it is a blessing from Allah.

The speakers noted that everything created by Allah has some benefit, but water is an extremely vital and indispensable element for human life yet humans excessively waste this very blessing, from which life itself began.

They expressed regret that people do not value this precious resource and continue to waste it.

The speakers added that if water had to be purchased individually or collectively, we would certainly not tolerate its wastage just as we do not waste mineral water.

Every drop of water must be valued because water is life, and protecting it is an act of worship.

They stressed that it is the responsibility of all of us to raise awareness among people, discourage excessive use and wastage of water, and recognize that wasting it is a major sin.

We must save water to preserve the rights of future generations, as it is their entitlement.

The speakers urged cautious use of water without unnecessary waste, emphasizing that expressing gratitude for water not just verbally but through its conservation is also an act of worship.

Safeguarding water is a religious and moral duty for every individual, and awareness must be created to protect this valuable resource.

In conclusion, the speakers stated that constructing dams in Khuzdar and its surrounding areas is essential, and check dams should be built to prevent further decline in water levels and maintain the groundwater table.

The seminar was also attended by a large number of other distinguished guests and citizens, including Professor Inamullah Mengal, Sikandar Haneena, Takri Muhammad Bakhsh Muhammad Zai, Abdul Haq Khidrani, Muhammad Iqbal Zahri, and many women.
