Petroleum Prices Cut Expected Tonight in Pakistan

Islamabad: An announcement regarding a reduction in petroleum product prices is expected tonight.

According to sources of a private TV channel, a summary containing the new prices of petroleum products will be sent to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today, after which the revised prices will be formally announced.

Currently, petrol is being sold at Rs378 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs520 per litre.

It may be recalled that the government had announced a significant reduction of Rs80 per litre in the price of petrol last week.
