QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has approved the petition for the postponement of the local government elections in Quetta for hearing.
According to the reports, a bench headed by the Chief Justice Kamran Khan Mula Khel.
Political parties had submitted a petition for the postponement of the local government election in Quetta on the basis of the intense weather and the law-and-order situation across Balochistan.
The bench headed by the Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Mohammad Kamran Khan Mula Khel has approved the petition for hearing.
The hearing of the petition will be carried out on the 23rd December.

Political uncertainty has intensified in Balochistan as several political parties have filed a petition in the Balochistan High Court seeking the postponement of upcoming local government elections.
The petition, submitted by Younis Baloch along with other political leaders, maintains that extreme weather conditions across the province and serious discrepancies in voter lists are major hurdles to conducting free, fair, and timely elections.
The petitioners argue that proceeding with elections under the current circumstances could adversely impact law and order and erode public trust in the electoral process.
Leaders from major political parties, including the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Awami National Party (ANP), and Pakhtunkhwa National Party, have signed the petition and collectively presented their concerns before the court.
