People’s Train to link Saryab and Kuchlak soon

LAHORE: The Government of Balochistan and Pakistan Railways have agreed to launch a new “People’s Train Service” between Saryab and Kuchlak. A press release issued on Thursday confirmed the decision.

The agreement was finalized in Quetta during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti. Officials announced that all consultations for the route have been completed. Work on the project will start soon.

Chief Minister Bugti vowed to personally oversee each stage. He made it clear that delays will not be tolerated.

The Balochistan government has decided to use engines and coaches from Pakistan Railways. This move avoids imports and saves costs.

Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, assured full support. He promised that engines, coaches, and related equipment will be delivered within six months.

The project also includes upgrading existing railway tracks. This will ensure safe and smooth operations.

Minister Abbasi called the service a “respectable, affordable, and fast travel solution” for the people of Balochistan. He said the initiative marks a new chapter in public transport for the province.
