QUETTA: The Balochistan government, in collaboration with Pakistan Railways, has decided to launch the “People’s Train” service between Sariab and Kuchlak.
\As part of the initiative, five existing railway stations will be upgraded, and two new stations will be constructed. The railway track will also be improved to enhance train speed.
The Department of Transport Balochistan and Pakistan Railways will take joint steps to implement the project effectively.
According to Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the People’s Train will provide comfortable and quality travel for the people of Quetta and surrounding areas.
He said the initiative reflects a vision of affordable, modern transportation, helping citizens save time and ease daily commutes.
He added that railway stations will be equipped with modern facilities, ensuring a safe and dignified environment.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the Balochistan government is introducing people-friendly and sustainable transportation projects, and the People’s Train is a first step toward progress, with more developments to follow.
