QUETTA: The Balochistan government has vowed to issue People’s Minority Card for the social and the economical prosperity of the minorities across Balochistan.
The CM Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti conducted a consultative meeting regarding the minorities.
The parliamentary secretary for the minorities affairs Sanjay Kumar, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir khan, Principal secretary and other officials also attended the meeting.
It was decided during the meeting to issue the People’s Minority Card for the social and the financial development of the minorities across Balochistan.
500 million rupees were reserved for the minority endowment funds for the affective implementation of the program during the ongoing fiscal year.
While addressing the meeting, the CM Balochistan said that the budget of the program under the minority endowment fund will be enhanced upto one billion rupees.
The minorities will be facilitated with the education, employment and business through the people’s minority card.
The CM Balochistan said that the protection of the minorities’ rights and their development is the topmost priority for the Balochistan government.
The projects to assist the minorities under the program will be started, in order to carry out the transparency and effectiveness, a modern digital monitoring program will be launched.
The details of the programs are being finalized. Sarfaraz Bugti said that the people’s minority card will be a practical exposure of the social equality and the inter-faith harmony.
The overall social harmony will be consolidated through the progress and prosperity of the minorities in Balochistan.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan People’s Party’s Benazir Income Support Program already helps the millions of deserving people across the country to meet with the domestic financial needs.
Such programs help the people to survive who are unable to afford even the basic necessities on their own behalf.
The aim should be to ensure the transparency and the effectivity of such programs.
