The Grand Jirga demands peace, employment and stability

Quetta: The political and tribal leaders have demanded peace, stability, employment and issuance of constitutional rights in Balochistan.

In a grand Peace Jirga in Quetta today, some significant political figures, tribal notables and social activists have expressed deep concerns regarding the situation of peace and stability in Balochistan.

The secretary general of PMML Saifullah Khalid, former Ameer JI Siraj ul Haq, Idrees Mughal, Qari Mohammad Yaqoob, Shafique ur Rehan warraich and other said that the government should eliminate Indian interference and overcome terrorism in Balochistan.

The killing of the people on the basis of ethnicity, language and region should be routed out.

The people of Balochistan should be provided with the constitutional rights so make the dream of peace come true.

The speakers were addressing in ‘Peace Jirga’ in a private hotel in Quetta.

The notables said that it is the administrative and moral obligation of the federation, the provincial government and the state to clear the paths, and protect the lives and the properties of the people so that a safe and secure transportation of the people can be ensured and the business can have a smooth run.

Balochistan should be awarded the with all the democratic, political and national rights.

They said that some 30-lac people have been left jobless on account of closure of border.

The public representatives should be provided with the authority and the right of decision making.

Not even a single promise has been fulfilled since the start of Balochistan Rights stand.

A credible and independent committee should be formed which could draw out all the practical solutions of the chaos, unrest, uncertainty, unemployment, poverty and law and order problems.
