QUETTA: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has confirmed that at least 20 people including 11 children, 5 women lost their lives due to heavy monsoon rains in Balochistan.
According to PDMA report, eight others including five men, two women, and one child were also injured in the rain related incidents,
PDMA report further revealed that the fatalities occurred in various districts including Duki, Zhob, Ziarat, Musa Khel, Khuzdar, Loralai, Lasbela, and Kohlu of Balochistan. The rains also caused significant damage to homes and completely damaged 11 houses and 67 others suffered partial damage.
PDMA said that the government is continuously monitoring the situation and provide assistance to affected families.

It is worth mentioning that as monsoon rains continue to wreak, the death toll in rain-related incidents has reached to 272 across Pakistan.
