PESHAWAR : At least seven people were killed and 33 others injured in separate incidents of roof and wall collapse caused by heavy rain and strong winds across multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP over the past 24 hours, officials said Sunday.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) released a report detailing the damage triggered by rain, wind, and lightning strikes in the region.
Among the deceased are two children, four men, and one woman, according to the PDMA. The injured include seven men, 12 women, and 14 children. All casualties resulted from structures collapsing under the impact of inclement weather.
The accidents occurred in the districts of Bannu, Shangla, and Mansehra, the disaster management authority confirmed.
Authorities have urged residents to exercise caution during ongoing adverse weather conditions and to avoid dilapidated structures.
