QUETTA: Despite consistently impressive performances in domestic cricket, Balochistan’s talented batsman Haseebullah Khan has been ignored for selection not only for the national cricket team but also for the Pakistan Shaheen Squad.
According to the local cricket association and cricket lovers expressed displeasure over the continues ignorance of Balochistan’s talented players. They claimed that several players from other provinces, with lower domestic run tallies than Haseebullah, have been included in the Shaheen Squad, raising questions about fairness and meritocracy in team selections.
This ongoing injustice has prompted Haseebullah to voice his frustration publicly on social media.
Cricket fans and activists are urging the Chief Minister of Balochistan and higher authorities to engage with Pakistan Cricket Council Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to address and rectify this bias against cricketers from Balochistan.
