Pakistan warns Taliban of consequences for further attacks

ISLAMABAD: Security sources have warned that the Taliban will face serious consequences if further attacks occur in Balochistan or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

They stated that before acting on instructions from external forces, the Taliban leadership should remember its past.

According to the sources, the Taliban may impress the world with their image of heroism, but Pakistan knows their origins well.

The sources questioned whether the Taliban had forgotten how they once fled from the Tora Bora mountains, and reminded them that without Pakistan’s support, they could not have defeated the Soviet Union.

Security officials cautioned that any further attacks in Balochistan or KP would prompt Pakistan to target Taliban strongholds directly.

They noted that in recent months, militants from Fitna al-Khawarij, TTP, and Fitna al-Hindustan have been operating from Afghan soil, targeting civilians and security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

In response, Pakistan conducted an airstrike in Kabul on the hideout of TTP leader Noor Wali Mehsud, after which Afghan forces launched heavy cross-border shelling and gunfire.

Pakistan’s Armed Forces gave a strong and decisive response, killing more than 200 Afghan militants and injuring many others.

During these clashes, 23 Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom.

The tribal population has openly declared its support for Pakistan’s military and taken up arms against Afghan aggression.

Citizens across Balochistan, KP, and the rest of the country have expressed solidarity with the Armed Forces, pledging to stand united for national defence and stability.

They emphasized that Pakistan sheltered millions of Afghans for decades and supported Afghanistan during crises, yet today, Afghanistan is attacking Pakistan under foreign influence.

The people reaffirmed that when it comes to the nation’s survival and security, not a single Pakistani will stand back from defending their homeland.
