Pakistani students stranded in Iran leave for Taftan

QUETTA: A convoy of Pakistani students stranded in Iran has left Tehran as the Iran-Israel conflict enters its fourth day. Both countries continue to launch missiles, drones, and airstrikes.

Reports say six buses carrying Pakistani students are heading toward the Taftan border. The corridor at Taftan will remain open even after 4 PM today.

A day earlier, 180 Pakistanis crossed the border. Among them were 168 pilgrims and 12 traders.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Tipu, said he is currently in Pakistan for official meetings. However, the embassy in Iran remains fully operational and continues to assist its citizens.

Tipu has shared contact details of the embassy in Tehran, consulates in Mashhad and Zahedan, and the Foreign Ministry’s help unit in Islamabad on social media.

Both border crossings in Panjgur remain closed for an indefinite period.

Air travel between Pakistan and Iran also remains suspended due to ongoing strikes.

Meanwhile, fresh Iranian attacks have killed several people in Tel Aviv. Iran launched the strikes in retaliation for Israeli aggression.

Iran also hit the port city of Haifa, just hours after Israel bombed Tehran. The death toll in Iran has reached 224, including 70 women and children.

Israeli airstrikes killed the intelligence chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and two other generals on Sunday.

After Iran’s latest attacks, Israeli news channels aired videos showing “extensive damage” to buildings across multiple cities.
