ABIDJAN: Pakistan Women’s football team began their FIFA Series campaign with a commanding 8-0 victory over Turks and Caicos Islands, securing their biggest-ever win in international football.
The match was played in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. From the outset, Pakistan dominated proceedings and went into the half-time break with a commanding 4-0 lead. Goals in the first half were scored by Zamina Malik, Aqsa Mushtaq, Layla Banaras, and Maryam Mahmood.
Pakistan maintained their aggressive momentum in the second half, adding four more goals.
Layla Banaras and Aqsa Mushtaq scored one each, while Nadia Khan and Asra Khan also found the net.
This 8-0 victory surpasses Pakistan’s previous record margin of a 7-0 win against Maldives, marking a historic milestone for the national women’s team.
