LAHORE: Pakistan vs Australia first T20 International of their three-match series will be played today at the Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore.
The opening match just eight days before the T20 World Cup will be played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore at 4 pm local time.
Both teams have prepared extensively. The series is seen as crucial preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup that starts just six days after the bilateral series ends on Sunday.
The series trophy was unveiled by the two captains yesterday.
Security Measures
Lahore Police have arranged tight security for the series. Nine SPs, 25 DSPs, and 73 SHOs will be deployed.
More than 6,000 officers and personnel will monitor the matches, including 351 upper subordinates and 188 lady constables.
Over 1,000 traffic wardens will also manage citywide movement during the series.
CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddiq Kamiana said the city will remain on high alert.
He said police will provide foolproof security to both domestic and international cricketers, as well as fans.
CCPO Kamiana directed officers to maintain constant coordination with the Pakistan Cricket Board and relevant agencies.
He stressed strict implementation of security SOPs at the stadium, players’ accommodations, and travel routes.
All individuals will be searched before entering the stadium. Lady police will handle checks for female spectators.
Authorities will monitor the security situation through Safe City Authority and other control rooms.

Dolphin Force, PERO, and Elite Force teams will conduct active patrolling during matches. Senior police officers will remain on-site to oversee the situation.
