Pakistan to unmask Indian hand in Khuzdar attack

ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that two major terrorist groups operating in Pakistan are acting as Indian agents, and said that Islamabad will present concrete evidence of New Delhi’s involvement in the recent attack on a school bus in Khuzdar.

The incident occurred a day earlier near Zero Point on the Quetta-Karachi highway, where a bomb targeted a school bus heading to the Army Public School in Khuzdar Cantonment.

The attack resulted in the martyrdom of six individuals, including four schoolgirls, and injured 38 others.

At least a dozen of the injured are in critical condition, with 15 schoolgirls among the wounded. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir visited Quetta to meet the injured and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Speaking on Geo News’ program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath on Wednesday night, Khawaja Asif said that the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) was operating as an Indian proxy. He stated, “We will present evidence of India’s involvement and substantiate our claims with solid proof.”

Asif emphasized that the ties between BLA and India are well known, as its leadership is based in New Delhi.

He slammed India of making baseless allegations against Pakistan, especially after the recent attack in Pahalgam, occupied Kashmir, which killed 26 people.

Asif said that while India accused Pakistan without proof, it is the BLA and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) that are operating as Indian agents and are being financed by India to cause bloodshed.

Responding to a question about how Pakistan plans to tackle the situation, the defence minister asserted that the country will respond with full force and show no leniency, adding that targeting civilians, especially children, is unacceptable.

He also mentioned that Pakistan had called for an investigation into the Pahalgam attack, which India rejected.

He criticized the Modi government’s irresponsibility, warning that it is attempting to use false-flag incidents as a pretext for nuclear escalation. Asif concluded by saying that Pakistan will never initiate a nuclear conflict, but it also cannot remain silent if such weapons are used against it.
