Batting first, Pakistan scored 171 runs for 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Their innings was saved by a strong partnership between Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Nawaz. After losing five batsmen for just 80 runs, Zaman (77 not out) and Nawaz (37 not out) put together a 91-run partnership to set a competitive target.

In reply, the UAE team could only manage 140 runs for 7 wickets. Their opener, Ali Shan Sharaf, fought hard with a score of 68 runs, but the other batsmen failed to support him.

Pakistan’s bowlers were excellent, especially spinner Abrar Ahmed. He had the best bowling performance of his T20 career, taking 4 wickets for only 9 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz also took one wicket each.

This was Pakistan’s second win in the tri-nation series, which also includes Afghanistan.
