ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s government said it has secured petroleum imports for March and April, ensuring stable fuel supplies across the country. Officials confirmed that petrol and diesel stocks are satisfactory and the oil supply chain is fully operational.
A cabinet committee meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, reviewed the energy supply situation amid ongoing Middle East conflicts and global market trends. Officials said Pakistan continues to coordinate with friendly countries, including Saudi Arabia, to secure oil shipments.
The briefing confirmed that domestic refineries are operating normally and fuel reserves are sufficient to meet demand. Authorities are monitoring global oil prices closely and assessing the gap between international and local rates.
The government said it has taken preemptive steps to prevent any disruption in energy supplies. Finance Minister Aurangzeb reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to uninterrupted petrol delivery, stressing that energy security and market stability remain top priorities.
