Pakistan secures decisive victory in Zehri, BLA militants face major defeat

KHUZDAR: The security forces have restored full peace and order in Zehri, following a decisive operation that indicated a vital blow to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

The terrorists, who had been attempting to destabilize the region from the surrounding mountains for several weeks, have now been either eliminated or forced to flee.

In this regard, for the past two months, several social media accounts had claimed that the BLA had established control over Zehri, declaring it an “independent zone.”

However, ground realities have proven otherwise. The security forces successfully cleared all major mountain ranges in the area and destroyed multiple BLA strongholds that were being used as operational bases.

Furthermore, several local laborers and residents who had been held hostage by the militants were rescued. The BLA had been using civilians as human shields to avoid direct confrontation, but a carefully planned strategy ensured their safe evacuation.

Moreover, the check posts have been set up at all entry and exit points of Zehri to prevent any resurgence of militant activity.

In addition, the government officials credit the success of the operation to the crucial support and information provided by the local population.

On the contrary to the BLA’s claims, the people of Balochistan have prioritized stability and rejected violence.

Meanwhile, the normal life has now resumed in Zehri. Schools have reopened, markets are functioning as usual, and a sense of relief is visible among residents.

The operation not only represents a tactical victory for Pakistan’s security forces but also a symbolic defeat of the BLA’s separatist narrative.
