Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Muhammad Khalid Jamali witnessed the signing, according to a press release.

“Reviving PSM with Russia’s support reflects our shared history and commitment to a stronger industrial future,” said SAPM Haroon during the ceremony. The project aims to restart and expand steel production, opening a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.

A day earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk described both countries as “natural allies” and strategic partners in the economy and energy sectors. Pakistan recognised Russia as a stabilising force in global affairs.
