Pakistan Railways suspends Jaffar Express services

QUETTA: Pakistan Railways has suspended the Jafar Express from Quetta to Peshawar today due to security concerns, officials said.

Authorities also suspended train services to Chaman. The Chaman Passenger Train was halted for technical and maintenance reasons.

Pakistan Railways confirmed that no trains from Quetta to Peshawar or Chaman departed today. The Jafar Express from Peshawar will operate only up to Jacobabad, while the Bolan Mail from Karachi will also run to Jacobabad only.

From Jacobabad, the Jafar Express will continue onward to Peshawar.

Yesterday, the Jafar Express was stopped at Jacobabad, and passengers were transported to Quetta via private vehicles.
