Pakistan moves to seek extradition of key Baloch militants

ISLAMABAD: Following the United States’ designation of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as a foreign terrorist organization, Pakistan has decided to accelerate efforts for the extradition of key Baloch militants.

A list has been prepared of wanted individuals who have sought asylum in the United Kingdom and the European Union.

Prominent figures on the list include Brahamdagh Bugti, currently residing in Switzerland, and Hyrbyair Marri and Mehran Marri, both based in the United Kingdom.

In addition to these names, dozens of other militants present in Europe and the UK are also being targeted under this initiative.

This move is being regarded as a significant milestone in Pakistan’s counter-terrorism strategy.

It is worth mentioning that the United States had declared BLA and Majeed Brigade as global terrorist groups on Monday.

The foreign Office of United Stated had said that this move affirms U. S’s resolve against terrorism across the world.
