ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s stance on the suspension of Indus Waters Treaty by India has made an impact on India and the Indian media has raised concerns over Pakistan’ clear message over the issue.
The Indian News outlet INDIA TODAY has revealed in a report that Pakistan is showing some serious concerns over the suspension of Indus-Water-Treaty.
The report expresses an alarm for the Indian government that the Pakistan prime minister Shahbaz Sharif has said in a recent statement that Pakistan will not allow India to stop a single drop of water.
INDIA TODAY also said that some 90 percent of Pakistan’s agriculture is dependent on Indus-water coming from across the border.
It has narrated the Indus-Waters ‘impact on Pakistan’s GDP, exports and employment.
India Today opines that the Indian Government must review its stance over the suspension of Indus -Waters- Treaty which could hurt Pakistan’s economy badly.
The News outlet also expressed that after having seen all that, the warnings given by Shahbaz Sharif to India could be a lot bigger thing than what India thinks as just ‘warnings’.

On the other end, the senior Indian defense analysts have also advised the Modi government that instead of escalation that actually ends up at a dead-end, India should seek for some diplomatic routs. If India’s move leaves a country to a disaster of economy and agriculture, we should also consider its consequences.
