Pakistan rejects Indian Foreign Minister’s remarks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan rejects Indian FM’s remarks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly rejected the recent comments made by Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar regarding Pakistan’s armed forces, calling the remarks unfounded and inflammatory.

Jaishankar had claimed that most of India’s problems stem from Pakistan’s military institutions.

In response, the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office condemned the statement, describing it as irresponsible and provocative.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that Pakistan is a responsible state and that all its institutions, including the armed forces, are firm pillars of national security. He added that these institutions are committed to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Andrabi further highlighted that in May 2025, Pakistan’s armed forces professionally and effectively responded to Indian aggression with resolve and responsibility.

He emphasized that no propaganda can hide this fact and that the Indian leadership’s attempts to malign Pakistan’s state institutions are part of a malicious disinformation campaign.

He said that India’s misleading narrative aims to divert attention from its own destabilizing actions in the region and from the terrorism India sponsors inside Pakistan.

Such provocative statements, he noted, clearly show that India has little interest in promoting peace, harmony, and stability in the region.

The spokesperson urged the Indian leadership to stop making baseless accusations against Pakistan’s armed forces and instead investigate the extremist and fascist ideology of Hindutva, which has fueled mob violence, extrajudicial actions, and the destruction of religious sites and properties in India.

He added that India’s leadership has become hostage to religion-based extremism.

Pakistan, he reaffirmed, believes in coexistence, dialogue, and diplomacy and remains united and determined to protect its national interests and sovereignty.
