ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that Pakistan may play a role in relations between Iran and the United States.

Speaking on Geo News’ program “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath,” the minister credited US President Donald Trump for brokering a ceasefire in a recent Indo-Pak conflict, which led to Pakistan nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Minister Asif clarified that the United States is currently not making any demands of Pakistan. He emphasized that should any requests be made in the future, Pakistan would evaluate them based on its own national interests.
