KARACHI: Pakistan has extended the closure of its airspace for India for another month. Pakistan Airports Authority issued a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to formalize the extension.
According to details, the Pakistan Airports Authority has issued a NOTAM extending the closure of airspace for India for another month. Pakistan’s airspace will remain closed for Indian airlines till August 23, which was closed on April 23.
Pakistan Airports Authority has informed that all aircraft used by Indian airlines, including Indian registered aircraft, will not be able to use Pakistani airspace. The ban also remains on Indian-owned or leased military and civil aircraft.
In this regard, it was informed that the ban will be implemented from 3:20 pm on July 18 and the ban will remain in place until 4:59 am on August 24, Pakistani time.

It is worthy to be mention here that during the tension with India, Pakistan had closed its airspace to Indian airlines, while a ceasefire was reached between the two countries under the mediation of the US, but the airspace closure is still in place. Earlier, the Pakistan Airports Authority had extended the airspace closure by one month in the NOTAM issued last month, saying that Pakistan’s airspace would remain closed to Indian airlines until July 23.
