Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Flights for Another Month

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has extended its ban on Indian aircraft from using its airspace, the Pakistan Airports Authority said.

The authority issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) stating that the restriction will remain in place until 5 a.m. on Feb. 24.

The ban applies to all aircraft owned, leased, or operated by Indian airlines. It also covers Indian military flights.

A spokesperson for the Pakistan Airports Authority confirmed that the restriction has been extended for another month.

The move aims to ensure that no Indian airline flights enter Pakistani airspace, the spokesperson said.

Officials said the ban also applies to aircraft operated on behalf of Indian carriers.

Pakistan had previously extended the airspace restriction. Authorities said the latest extension seeks to maintain full control over air operations between the two countries.
