QUETTA: Pakistan’s long-standing concerns regarding Indian involvement in Balochistan, a credible international publication, the New York Times, have mentioned Pakistan’s successful counter-offensive against cross-border aggression and terrorism.
The proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), widely known to be a terrorist organization backed by India’s intelligence agency RAW, has faced a major blow in recent weeks as Pakistani forces launched decisive military operations to dismantle the group’s infrastructure.
Furthermore, the BLA, responsible for orchestrating multiple attacks on public infrastructure and Chinese-backed projects in Balochistan, such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and industrial zones in Gwadar, has long been a destabilizing force in the region.
In this regard, as per the detailed report published by The New York Times, Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan-e-Marsous has forced India to fall back from its aggressive posture during the latest border tensions. The operation, launched in response to escalating hostilities, compelled the Indian leadership to seek US diplomatic intervention.

The operation, launched in response to escalating hostilities, prompted the Indian leadership to seek US diplomatic intervention. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is said to have contacted former US President Donald Trump, requesting assistance in de-escalating the situation.

The military operation not only neutralized threats along the Line of Control but also targeted key terror networks inside Balochistan. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), another Indian-sponsored militant outfit, suffered extensive losses. In addition, reports indicate that the insurgent hideouts from Turbat to Gishkor now lie abandoned, and operatives are in disarray, fleeing the region to evade capture.
