Pakistan Destroys Afghanistan Brigade Headquarters

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s military said it continues operations against the Afghan Taliban and militants it describes as “Khawarij” under the campaign dubbed Operation Ghazab Lil‑Haq.

Security sources said the Pakistan Army destroyed a brigade headquarters of the Afghan Taliban’s 205 Corps in Kandahar during recent strikes.

Pakistani forces also targeted ammunition depots belonging to the group in the same operation, the sources said.

Earlier, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said 481 Afghan Taliban fighters had been killed so far. He added that Pakistani forces destroyed 226 check posts and captured 35 others during the campaign.

Pakistan’s military has carried out coordinated ground and air operations as part of the offensive.

Pakistani forces have also struck the strategically important Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, according to officials.
