Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephonic conversation, during which they discussed key issues related to the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the recent U.S. strikes on Iran following Israeli aggression.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people and government of Iran. Expressing heartfelt condolences over the loss of precious lives, the Prime Minister also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
He emphasized that the U.S. attacks targeted installations that were under the protection of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), labeling the actions as a serious breach of IAEA protocols and other international laws.
During the conversation, the Prime Minister underlined the urgent need for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the conflict, stating that negotiations remain the only viable path forward.

He added that immediate collective efforts are essential to de-escalate tensions, and assured that Pakistan is committed to playing a constructive role in this regard.
