RAWALPINDI: In a press conference held in Rawalpindi, Director General of ISPR, alongside senior officials from the Pakistan Army and Navy, addressed recent escalations along the Line of Control.
He expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of innocent children, women, and men due to Indian hostility on May 6 and 7, offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Highlighting Pakistan’s firm response, the DG ISPR stated that, by the grace of Allah, the promise made to the nation had been fulfilled.
He appreciated the unwavering support of youth and political parties for Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsous.
The DG confirmed that Pakistan delivered a strong and strategic retaliation, targeting 26 key Indian military installations in Suratgarh, Sursa, Adampur, Awantipora, Udhampur, and Pathankot.
Pakistan also successfully struck two positions of India’s S-400 missile defense system and neutralized hostile positions across the LoC that were targeting civilians in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.There is undeniable evidence of India’s involvement in terrorist activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, clearly proving that India is orchestrating the killing of innocent civilians within Pakistan.We had promised of three things. We had promised of giving a befitting response.
We had promised to decide the point and the time of our target to our own choosing. We had promised that the whole world will come to know.
Pakistan retaliated keeping in the view the precautions that no civilians should be targeted. Pakistan armed forces salute to the brave, dignified and courageous people of Pakistan.
DG ISPR Genral Ahmed Sharif along with the chiefs of Pakistan Airforce AIr vise marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed and Pakistan Navy Vice Admiral Rab Nawaz briefed that Pakistan did not request cease fire.
It was upon India’s wish. We accepted the cease fire on the request of the international community.
There is no Indian pilot in Pakistan’s custody. PAF defeated the IAF by 6-0. Our partially damaged air craft will be operational soon. India’s crew was at the distance of 400 nautical miles. Pakistan Navy kept a sharp eye on the Indian crew’s movements. We are a professional military. We did not let them dare to move ahead.
Pakistan kept all its port operational during the strain. We kept monitoring the marine space for 24 hours. Pakistan’s military forces are abiding strictly by the rule on the working boundary of LOC. Pakistan’s stance is pretty clear on Indus waters Treaty.
There is an overwhelming brutality that is being practiced in the occupied Jamu and Kashmir. The dispute of Kashmir demands to be resolved according to the resolutions of the United Nations keeping in view the wishes of the Kashmiri people. Our response was timely and a historical one.

Furthermore, militant hideouts within Indian territory were hit, and in response to airspace violations involving Indian drones, Pakistan precisely targeted installations including the Uri network station and Poonch radar system.
