ISLAMABAD: Pakistan captured five Afghan posts in Paktia province opposite South Waziristan and raised its national flag, security sources said.
The seized positions included two posts opposite Shawal, two opposite Angoor Adda, and one opposite Zarmalan.
Officials said Pakistan also destroyed the Afghan terminal at Angoor Adda during the operation.
Security sources described the move as part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to secure its border and counter cross-border threats.

The operation reportedly involved coordinated military action to neutralize enemy positions and establish control over strategic locations.
