Pakistan beat West Indies in 3rd T20 to take series 2-1

Pakistan defeated West Indies by 13 runs in the third and final T20I on Monday, sealing the series 2-1 at Central Broward Regional Park.

Farhan, Ayub lead strong start

Pakistan chose to bat after winning the toss. Openers Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub gave them a flying start. Farhan scored 74 off 53, while Ayub hit 66 off 49. The pair added 138 runs for the first wicket. Shamar Joseph finally dismissed Farhan in the 17th over.

Hassan Nawaz (15 off 7), Khushdil Shah (11* off 6), and Faheem Ashraf (10* off 3) provided a late boost. Pakistan ended with 189-4.

West Indies fall short despite strong start

West Indies started aggressively, scoring 33 in the first two overs. Jewel Andrew made 24, and Alick Athanaze smashed 60—his maiden T20I fifty.

Sherfane Rutherford added 51 off 35, but Pakistan kept striking. Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz, and Saim Ayub took key wickets.

Sufiyan Muqeem, Hasan Ali, and Faheem Ashraf applied pressure late. West Indies finished at 176-6. A tactical retirement of Roston Chase further disrupted their chase.

Besst bowling display

Pakistan’s bowlers shared the load. Rauf, Nawaz, Muqeem, Hasan, and Ayub each took one wicket. Skipper Salman Ali Agha praised the team’s effort.

“It was a team performance,” he said. “Win or lose, we focus on the process. Spinners bowled brilliantly. Faheem and Hasan showed great character at the end.”

He called Sufiyan and Abrar “big assets” for the team.
