Pakistan Army stands firm with the nation during flood crisis, Says DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD: The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) reasserted that the Pakistan Army’s constant determination to stand by the people of Pakistan during the ongoing flood crisis, focusing on that no hostile force can undermine the strong bond between the armed forces and the nation.

In this regard, the DG ISPR said, “In every moment of difficulty, the Pakistan Army has always stood with the people, stands with them today, and will always stand with them in the future. No false force can create a division in this relationship.”

Furthermore, the military spokesperson’s remarks come at a time when large parts of the country are grappling with devastating floods that have displaced thousands of families, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted livelihoods. 

In this regard, Pakistan Army units have been deployed across the flood-hit areas, carrying out extensive rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations in coordination with civilian authorities.

Moreover, the army’s efforts, the DG ISPR also delivered a veiled reference to certain political elements accused of attempting to spread discord between the armed forces and the public. He stated that such divisive campaigns, allegedly influenced by external forces, particularly India, aim to exploit the current crisis.

The spokesperson noted that in challenging times such as these, unity and resilience are vital for the country. He said the men and women of the armed forces are working tirelessly alongside civil institutions, NGOs, and volunteers to provide food, shelter, medical care, and logistical support to affected communities.

The DG ISPR further focused on the idea that spreading misinformation and hatred at such a time is not only irresponsible but also detrimental to national interests.
