ISTANBUL: The Turkish daily Daily Sabah has described Pakistan’s strategy against terrorism as effective and successful.

According to the report in Daily Sabah, the attacks in Balochistan and Islamabad aimed to spread fear, sectarian division, and unrest.

The publication noted that Pakistan thwarted two major attacks through a strategy of patience and prudence.

Pakistani security forces prevented these attacks from turning into strategic victories.

The intent behind the attacks was also to create the impression of a widening gap between the public and security forces, with terrorists seeking to undermine public confidence.

Pakistan demonstrated its strong counter-terrorism capabilities.

In a 40-hour operation, security forces eliminated 145 terrorists, while a week-long operation resulted in 216 terrorists being killed.

Pakistan successfully prevented the terrorists from reorganizing quickly or gaining control.

The report also highlighted Pakistan’s success in drawing attention to the billions of dollars’ worth of weapons left behind by the United States in Afghanistan, which have fueled militancy.

The objective of the operation was not only to stop terrorism but also to freeze the momentum of rising extremism.
